ADNAN SIDDIQUI


Dr. Adnan Siddiqui, MD, PhD, FAANS, FACS, FAHA is Professor and Vice-Chairman of Neurosurgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a dual trained cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgeon and is the Program Director for the Neuroendovascular Fellowship at Buffalo. He serves as the Director of the Neurosurgical Stroke Service at Kaleida Health's Gates Vascular Institute and as the Director of Toshiba Stroke and Vascular Research Center at University at Buffalo as well as Director of Training and Education at Jacobs Institute.

Dr. Siddiqui, is proud to lead UB's Department of Neurosurgery research efforts, which ranked 7th in academic impact in North America by the Journal of Neurosurgery. He serves as an Associate Editor for Neurosurgery and as a reviewer for Stroke, Journal of Neurosurgery and Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery as well as many others. He has over 200 peer-reviewed publications, more than 50 chapters and has been invited to more than 200 national and international lectureships. His H-index is 29. He is serving as National and International Principal Investigator for the POSITIVE, LARGE, 3D SEPARATOR and CASPER trials and is actively involved as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investogator for a large number of additional neurovascular trials at Buffalo, including multiple concurrent RO1 studies funded by the NIH.

Dr. Siddiqui is currently serving as Member-at-Large for the Joint Section of Cerebrovascular Surgery. He also serves as Member of the Fellowship Review Committee for Neuroendovascular Surgery for the Society of Neurological Surgeons. He has served on Endovascular Task Force of AANS and been on multiple scientific committees on AANS, Society of Neurointerventional Surgery and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
